The Spark Mosaic

Transforming Broken China into Art, Joy & Connection

A cozy, home-based studio where vintage teacups and forgotten floral china plates find new life as one-of-a-kind mosaic art, make-at-home DIY kits, and fun filled workshops.

Our story

Beauty, rebuilt from the broken

The Spark Mosaic began at a kitchen table in Indianapolis. Born from the love of beautiful antique floral teacups and cherished memories from tea parties hosted by Mom. Many people have similar stories of time spent with mothers, aunts, grandmothers and even friends. How does one preserve those cherished memories when the china gets chipped, packed away, or possibly donated to a second-hand store? For me, instead of letting them go, I chose to repurpose the beautiful pieces into something new.

There's a quiet kind of hope and a heart full of joy in the new creations. Broken things aren't ruined and forgotten pieces are simply waiting to become something different, and often something more beautiful than before. Every mosaic I make is a small reminder that what feels shattered or forgotten can be gathered back together with a colorful new purpose.

What started as a way to honor cherished memories and old pieces of china grew into something bigger: a desire to bring people together. Joy is experienced when hands and hearts are busy creating and connecting. Strangers become friends around tables crafting unique pieces from broken china and having fun sharing in a common experience. That connection and creativity is what The Spark Mosaic is truly about.

Made by Hand

Every piece is hand-cut and set from genuine vintage china, so no two mosaics are ever the same.
